Even those who are not members of the Bitcoin community have heard the name Satoshi Nakamoto at least once. According to numerous versions, it is believed that this is the fictitious name of one or more of the creators of the first Bitcoin cryptocurrency. For unknown reasons, it was decided to hide who Satoshi Nakamoto was. And I must say that throughout the time since the appearance of the new digital currency, no one has been able to reveal the real name of one or a group of authors.
 

Chronology of events

Under the name Nakamoto, on the eve of 2009 (on New Years Day, December 31, 2008), an article titled "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System" was published. It was on the cryptography mailing list. It described in detail the system created by Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin, the main characteristic features of which are the absence of centralized control, the ability to make money transfers between two persons without the intervention of a third party. The Bitcoin network was launched immediately after the release of the initial version of the Bitcoin wallet.

Information appeared on the P2P Foundation website, which attracted the attention of many curious people, including cryptocurrency supporters. It provided some biographical information that he lives in Japan and he is 37 years old. After that, there was talk, controversy, various versions were put forward about the reliability of this name and the meager biographical facts. The reason for suggesting that this is a pseudonym is a guess based on such facts: Nakamoto expresses his thoughts in perfect English, which is not inherent in the Japanese. In addition, the question arises as to why the Bitcoin software is not adapted to the Japanese language and is not documented in the native dialect of the inventor.

Attempts to identify Wright with the true creator of Bitcoin began late last year, but then they were unsuccessful. Wright was not only not recognized, but also added to him notoriety. After all, the evidence was found to be fake.

The latest events, on the one hand, have clarified and reawakened interest in the person of Craig Wright. On the other hand, again there is no one hundred percent certainty, especially since the programmer himself brings certain doubts into this version.

As for Wrights personality, her qualities could well have matched Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of the Bitcoin system. He is a computer security professional with a degree in finance and law, a successful businessman with several large companies based on sophisticated innovative technologies. Another interesting detail that allows an analogy between the two names is that Wright is interested in Japanese history and culture.

After last years failure to prove his involvement in the creation of Bitcoin, Wright has experienced a real boom from overly attention to his person. In addition, it was not only intrusive, but also accompanied by a charge of colossal negativity.
 

Again on the same rake

But more recently, at the beginning of this week, an event occurred that brought all interested persons and curious journalists back to the name Craig. He returns to the topic of his identity again and proposes a meeting in March of this year to his colleague, who worked with him in the Bitcoin cryptocurrency group Gavin Andresen. Allegedly, he is ready to present irrefutable documentary evidence that he is Satoshi Nakamoto.

Overwhelmed by thoughts of last years Wright failure, Andersen did not immediately agree. But after a second invitation, this meeting took place in one of the London hotels. To carry out the test, a completely new computer was taken to avoid fraud. As a result of the evidence demonstrated, Wrights colleague had no doubt that he was facing the real Satoshi Nakamoto, the inventor of the Bitcoin cryptocurrency.

Further, events developed rather strangely, because Wright in front of the public did not repeat what he showed Andresen, but for some reason offered a completely different version of the test. And the results were not in his favor. What was it? Deliberate unwillingness to reveal themselves? There were a lot of questions that remained unanswered. Andresen found this explanation: in fact, Wright, as it were, is not against the recognition of such a unique invention by the author, but on the other hand, it is very annoying, leads to a state of heightened emotionality.

As expected, Wrights confessions echo his unwillingness to be the focus of such scrutiny. Therefore, for a long time he hid his name under a pseudonym, and is very sorry that he revealed this long-standing secret. He writes that he is very grateful to the people who were engaged with him in the invention of the worlds first cryptocurrency and does not want to create inconvenience and even, as he put it, hurt them. After all, the problems going on around: who is Satoshi Nakamoto, speculation does not reflect in the best way on those who were involved in this case.

What fraction of the truth in this is known to Wright himself and the Lord God, but, as they say, everything secret becomes clear, which means that we will someday know the truth.
